How to Send a PDF File to a Kindle Device
Sending a PDF document to your Kindle device is easier than ever now. You can easily transfer any PDF file directly from your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone right into your Kindle.
There's no need for complex software or manual transfers, all you need is an Amazon account and a few simple steps. Here's what you do:
Step 1: Find and Set Up Your Kindle Email AddressTo get started, you need to first visit the Amazon website and sign in.
Once you're logged in, look at the top-right of the main Amazon screen and you will find an option that says "Account and Lists".
Hover or click on this navigation item, then select "Content and Devices".
Now click 'Manage Devices' to open up a toolbar with several options, one of which should say "Devices".
Select it so you can manage them accordingly and choose "Kindle", this will display a list of devices associated with your Kindle account.
Click the device to which you would like to send your PDF file and find the particular Kindle email address.
Depending on which country's version of Amazon site you are using, the steps may vary slightly. But ultimately, upon going through these steps, they all lead back to the same Device Summary page.
The same steps can be followed on the Kindle app as well.
Step 2: Add and Approve Your Personal Email on KindleThe next step would be to approve your personal email address. Without it, any documents mailed will not be received on your account's Kindle devices or on your Kindle email address.
Let's walk through this process together, making sure you have everything properly set up:
First, go onto Amazon's website in order to find and access "Your Account".
Look for "Devices" in the top bar then select "Preferences".
Scroll down until you come across "Personal Document Settings", then click this option which should expand into further settings.
When those options are visible, scroll until you find the "Approved Personal Document Email List."
The next step is clicking on "Add a New Approved Email Address", here enter your very own personal email address associated with that account.
You can also add multiple email addresses as well.
After doing so, make sure to look for and click the "Add Address" button underneath all of it.
This confirms that particular registration has been accepted by Amazon giving you permission to send and read PDF files on registered Kindle devices.
And voila! You're officially set now, and ready to upload PDF files onto any of your Amazon Kindle devices.
It really couldn't be simpler, right? Just a few clicks of the mouse followed by some key typing and that's it, you will be able to send PDF to Kindle.
Step 3: Send PDFs Directly to Your KindleNow that all of the above steps have been completed, you are all set to send PDF files to your Kindle's email address and account. Instead of having to search for a converter and download an app, you can take advantage of the technology behind Amazon's devices.
All you need is an approved email address and your Kindle device's unique email address. Simply attach the file to an email, click send and voilà. You're done in a few easy steps.
Not only do you get convenience from this process, but it allows you flexibility with multiple documents too.
With just one sending action, you can pile on several documents that would later be accessible through your Kindle device, saving you time for more pressing matters at hand instead of dealing with numerous emails back-and-forth.
