Tweets in an article now print as cards
Print a story that quotes a few tweets and they come out as proper cards, with the name, date and photos, right where they sat.

News stories and blog posts quote tweets all the time. Print one, though, and the tweets tend to drop out, or turn up as a bare block of text. Now PrintFriendly turns each embedded tweet into a tidy card, right where it sat in the article.
What's on the card
The tweet's text, the author's name, handle and profile photo, and the date it was posted. Photos attached to the tweet come along too, laid out the way X shows them. Links in the tweet still work, and there's a View on X link at the bottom. Both open in a new tab, so clicking one won't pull you away from the page you're about to print.
Where it works
You'll see the cards in PrintFriendly View in our extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and when you paste an article's link on printfriendly.com. There's nothing to switch on. The cards print with the rest of the article and go into the PDF too.
Try it
- Open an article with a tweet embedded in it.
- Click the PrintFriendly button in your toolbar and choose PrintFriendly View. Or paste the link into the box on our home page and click Go.
- Click Print, or PDF to save it.
The extension help pages cover the rest of what PrintFriendly View can do.
